Stem Cell Injections
Commonly treated conditions: ARTHRITIC JOINTS | TENDON OR LIGAMENT TEARS | MENISCUS OR LABRAL INJURIES
Stem cell BMAC (Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate) Injections
Stem cell BMAC (Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate) injections involve extracting stem cells from the patient's own bone marrow and injecting them into injured or damaged tissues.
Stem cells, the building blocks in embryonic development, differentiate into various tissue types in our bodies and continue to aid in the repair and regeneration of tissues. These cells are especially concentrated in areas like the bone marrow in the pelvic region. Stem cells will be extracted from the rear of your iliac crest, then centrifuged to create a high-concentration stem cell solution. This is then injected into the site of injury during the same appointment. Ultrasound guidance is utilized for precision.
Conditions typically treated include arthritic joints, tendon or ligament tears, and meniscus or labral injuries.
This form of treatment is commonly referred to as “Regenerative Medicine” since the goal of the treatment is to regenerate tissue.
