Spinal Injections with Fluoroscopic Guidance

Spinal epidurals, facet joint injections, and radio frequency ablations are interventional pain management procedures primarily used to address spinal pain. Spinal epidurals involve injecting medication into the epidural space around the spinal cord to alleviate pain and inflammation associated with conditions like herniated discs, spinal stenosis, nerve root compression, neck and lower back pain and sciatica.

Facet joint injections target the small joints that link the vertebrae of the spine, delivering medication directly into these joints to relieve pain caused by arthritis or joint dysfunction.

Radio frequency ablation utilizes heat generated by radio waves to disrupt the nerve signals responsible for transmitting pain from specific areas of the spine, providing long-lasting pain relief. This procedure takes place in an operating room at the surgery center and is usually performed under fluoroscopic guidance to ensure accuracy and safety.
